LOCUS training

Description – The LOCUS is a clinical decision support tool used when working with clients over the age of 18 years who have substance use and/or mental health concerns. This course provides an overview of the LOCUS tool and is a requirement for clinicians prior to using the tool in practice.

Course Objectives – Participants will:

  1. Learn about the 6 LOCUS Dimensions and important considerations for scoring the tool;
  2. Learn about the 6 LOCUS Levels of Care;
  3. Explore the process of shared decision making in the context of presenting a level of care recommendation.
